GE Reflective Memory Switch (hereinafter referred to as the switch) is designed for GE series communication networks. When the switch detects a loss of card signal, it can automatically bypass nodes that are not started or faulty, allowing other GE series communication network node cards to continue operating. The GE reflective memory switch has 8 SFP transceivers, which can use multimode transceivers for short distance communication and single-mode transceivers for long distance communication. GE reflective memory switches can be cascaded to form larger networks. Information can be viewed and switches can be configured through the 232 interface.
