2016年11月1日，的工业机器人制造商abb今天宣布在中国制造的第5万台机器人下线。这台机器人是abb中发研发、本土生产的abb小型机器表产品irb 1200，将安装在比亚迪电子有限公司（“比亚迪电子”）位于惠州的电子产品工厂，和众多其它abb机器人产品共同应用于手机产品的机械加工、外壳抛光和组装。

abbirb 1300机器人具备的负载能力、工作范围和路径精度，它速度更快，体型更紧凑。irb 1300的设计旨在生产效率和生产线柔性，它能够抓起重物，或搬运形状复杂或不规则的物体。这款六轴工业机器人重量减轻了60，占地面积缩小了83，节拍速度了27，负载和工作范围更大，适用于电子、一般工业、食品饮料、物流和汽车零部件生产等领域的高负载应用。
